Is it a brain? Is it a brassica? No, it’s a coral cactus! The coral cactus might be one of our most divisive plants yet. Whether you love it or hate it, this euphorbia will stand out in your home. Native to Tropical Asia, the coral cactus has a uniquely colourful ‘crown’ that sits atop a regal stem. Please be aware that the colour of your coral cactus can vary from dark green to red to light green, but we think they’re all equally stunning.
Like most euphorbias, the coral cactus is very low effort. Give it water when the soil is almost fully dry, pop it in a bright spot and the coral cactus will do the rest. Avoid long periods of drought if you can. If your coral cactus is starting to turn yellow, you’re probably overwatering it so ease back, repot it in dry cactus soil and let it dry out.
