Our charity partner, Galop
We're conscious our impact doesn't stop with Patch. Supporting charities that make a positive contribution to communities across the UK is important to us and our team. This Pride month, we're delighted to be partnering with Galop, the national LGBT+ anti-abuse charity that's been working with and for victims of abuse and violence for more than 40 years.
About Galop
Every year, Galop works with thousands of LGBT+ people who have experienced abuse and violence. A charity run by LGBT+ people, for LGBT+ people, the organisation specialises in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, so-called "conversion therapies", honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and other forms of abuse.
Galop runs four national support helplines, and provides longer-term support for thousands of victims and survivor's through the organisation's advocacy and therapeutic services.
The charity uses the information learned working on the frontline to advocate for local and national policy change. By building key pieces of research, Galop pushes for legislative change, important statutory guidance for victims, and better understanding for LGBT+ people across the country.
