Almost all plants absolutely love to be bathed in soft light all day. Sitting on a windowsill will give them plenty of sun to help them grow. All these plants are light lovers and generally pretty easy to look after. One thing to be aware of: If your window is south-facing, the sun may be very strong in the middle of the day in summer. If you notice any of your plants getting brown, dry marks you may want to move them to a less bright windowsill.

Spike – This cactus couldn’t be more straightforward to look after. He’ll take as much sun as you can give him and only needs water when his soil is totally dry. He’s prickly, so keep him away from pets and children.
